Enjoy year round golf at Black Diamond Ranch – undeniably the best golf you can experience! From the world renowned Quarry Course, to The Ranch Course, to The Highlands Course, you won’t be disappointed.

The stunning Quarry Course, the first at Black Diamond, is consistently recognized as one of America’s greatest. While the list of awards and accolades is impressive, it could never compare to the experience of playing it. Beginning with the elevated tee shot on the 424-yard first hole, the front nine redefines golf in Florida. You’ll experience dramatic elevation changes, classic bunkering, and fairways framed with thousands of beautiful live oaks, dogwoods, myrtles, and magnolias. While it’s difficult to choose the most outstanding hole on the front nine, perhaps the two par 5’s, the fifth and ninth best exemplify the beautiful, but challenging experience that awaits you. The Quarry Course at Black Diamond is simply breathtaking. The 14th, 15th and 16th holes are carved over and around canyon walls offering awesome views and challenging shots. This incredible stretch of holes, called by writer Dan Jenkins “the best five consecutive holes of golf anywhere in the world” ends with the 218-yard par-3 17th. The 17th drops down into the smaller quarry to a green guarded left and rear by 30-foot high limestone cliffs, and it looks like it’s from another world another time.

As one of the most respected golf course architects in the world, Tom Fazio transformed the abandoned limestone quarries, with their sheer 80-foot cliffs plunging into the lakes, into the Quarry Course. While he went about shaping the Quarry Course at Black Diamond Ranch into what just about every golf magazine would list at the top of their “America’s Best” and “World’s Greatest” courses, “Florida’s Best Golf Community” was built around it, with luxurious yet unobtrusive homes neatly tucked into the wooded surroundings. In Tom Fazio’s own words, “I had to create two distinctly different, yet equally challenging and memorable golf courses on the same property, and I did. Every course is special, but I guess you could say the Quarry Course was one of the milestones in my career.” The Quarry Course was accepted immediately as one of the best courses in the country. On the Ranch Course, he developed a pattern for the holes to flow across and through the changes in elevation, creating a dramatic and outstanding course. But which does he prefer, the Quarry or the Ranch? Fazio calls it a toss-up. All he knows is that of the more than 180 courses he has designed, the two at Black Diamond Ranch are among his favorites.
